We are not a law firm
Retained Cases is a marketing, intake and business support agency. We are not a law firm, we do not practise law, and we do not provide legal advice or legal services of any kind. Nothing on this website is legal advice or a legal opinion, and nothing here should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
No attorney–client relationship
Visiting this website, submitting a form, sending an email or speaking with our team does not create an attorney–client relationship. Communications with Retained Cases are not protected by attorney–client privilege or the work product doctrine. Please do not send us confidential client information, privileged material, or the details of any specific legal matter.
Intake and paralegal personnel
Where we provide intake, call handling or paralegal support, our personnel work under the supervision and direction of the engaging attorney or law firm. They do not give legal advice, evaluate the merits of a matter, predict outcomes, quote or commit to fees, or clear conflicts of interest. Information relevant to a conflict check is collected and routed to the client firm; the determination is made by the firm's attorneys. Any question requiring legal judgment is escalated to the client firm.
No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee any specific number of leads, signed cases, revenue, search ranking, cost per acquisition, or return on advertising spend. Marketing performance varies substantially based on practice area, geographic market, competition, budget, seasonality, the firm's own intake and conversion performance, platform policy changes, and other factors outside our control. Any examples, figures or scenarios described on this site are illustrative only and are not a representation of what any particular firm will achieve.
Professional responsibility
Attorneys and law firms are subject to rules of professional conduct governing advertising, solicitation, fee arrangements, confidentiality and the unauthorised practice of law, and those rules differ by jurisdiction. Compliance with the rules applicable to your jurisdiction and bar remains your responsibility. We work to support compliant marketing, and we will raise concerns when we see them, but we do not and cannot provide advice on your professional responsibility obligations. Where a question of professional conduct arises, consult your bar association or ethics counsel.
Accuracy of information
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we make no representation or warranty as to its completeness, accuracy, reliability or suitability for any purpose. Digital advertising platforms, search algorithms and their policies change frequently, and information here may become out of date. Any reliance you place on this information is strictly at your own risk.
Third-party platforms
References to Google, Meta or any other platform, product or service are for identification only. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship. We do not control those platforms and are not responsible for changes to their policies, pricing, algorithms or availability.
